Interior Designer

Gator, located at 8576 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, LA, is seeking a Licensed Interior Designer or Interior Design Intern to join the team full-time. This role will help lead and assist with commercial and residential projects, space planning, interior design initiatives, product showcase and sales efforts, and more.

This individual will have the opportunity to be involved in several areas of the company on a daily basis and work directly with Gator Leadership and clientele.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work directly with Gator Leadership, including the Licensed Architect.
• Establish and maintain relationships with material vendors and sales representatives.
• Stay current with the latest design trends and product offerings.
• Create, organize, and maintain product libraries and sample collections.
• Provide design ideas and recommendations using available product lines and manufacturer resources.
• Assist in developing millwork product lines and catalogs focused on providing quality quick-ship millwork solutions for fast-paced projects.
• Perform space planning for commercial and residential environments and develop millwork concepts and design solutions.
• Work directly with clients from pre-design through project completion.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings with prospective clients and vendors.
• Schedule and conduct walkthroughs of the Gator Showroom.
• Participate in custom millwork, cabinetry, and FF&E sales calls and discussions.
• Collaborate with the pre-construction and estimating teams to determine project values and costs for commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications:

• Interior Design degree from an accredited university.
• Interior Design License preferred.
• Interior Design Interns must be willing to pursue licensure.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Proficient in Photoshop, SketchUp, or comparable rendering software.
• General understanding of AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu PDF is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
